Energy Star Information

When it’s time to purchase a new appliance, look for the ENERGY STAR logo.  It's a program created by the EPA and Department of Energy to help consumers save money, while buying energy-efficient products.  Manufacturers place bright yellow Energy Star stickers on their products to display their energy efficiency rating.

Over 9,000 manufacturers of all sorts of products participate in the program.  Many encourage customers through special offers, such as rebates and coupons.  Depending on where you live, you might also qualify for discounts from your utility company, as well as tax exemptions or credits.  The Energy Star website even has a link to provide consumers with a list of offers and rebates here.
